You form a winning combination by landing three or four identical symbols on adjacent reels, beginning on the far left.

The less valuable symbols are the 10, J, Q, K, and A. Four identical symbols pay between 0.5x and 1x the wager. Medium-paying symbols include a headdress, a lantern, a pickaxe, and a gold-panning pan. Four identical symbols pay between 2.5x and 5x the wager. The symbol with the highest payout is the gold bar, and four of them pay 15 times the wager. The three Swedes donning green, orange, and yellow are the Wild Miner Symbols. The golden nugget is the game's scatter symbol, the Smeltdown symbol is composed of searing multipliers, and the golden nugget bearing a multiplier is the Collector symbol.

If you land three scatter symbols, the Bonus Game will be triggered. You will then be transported into the mine and given three lives. When you turn the reels and land a Smeltdown or Collect symbol, the number of lives is reset to three. During your rounds, Smeltdown symbols with a 2x multiplier in the Bonus Game and a 4x multiplier in the Super Bonus Game may appear. All visible and forthcoming Collector symbols will have their values multiplied by the Smeltdown multiplier.
